Gran Caffe San Marco

One of the oldest cafe in Florence, founded in 1870 under the name
" Caffè Fanti" in honor of Manfredo Fanti, general whose statue overlooks the Piazza San Marco,was, as always, literary salon and meeting place for philosophers, artists, professors and students from nearby University and Academy.
Now,renovated, it offers as the temple of gluttony, for meeting and refreshment of the gourmet florentines and foreigners.
